Procurement Supervisor

 Key Responsibilities

  1. Well-versed in the production processes of various components including PCBAs, steel, zinc-aluminum die-casting, powder metallurgy gears, injection molded parts, hardware, and packaging materials. Capable of accurately auditing the rationality of suppliers' quotations to formulate scientific target prices for negotiations.

  2. Cost Calculation: Responsible for calculating the cost of new component prototypes. Conduct detailed teardowns, material dissections, and weight measurements to precisely measure raw material costs, providing data support for pricing and commercial negotiations.

  3. Market Trend Analysis: Maintain real-time tracking of market price trends for non-ferrous metals (Copper, Aluminum, Steel, Tin, etc.) and plastics (PC, ABS, PP, POM, etc.) to build standardized cost models for various categories. Dynamically monitor component procurement costs against raw material fluctuations to proactively predict cost risks.

  4. Commercial Negotiation: Lead commercial negotiations regarding procurement prices for various components, and complete the subsequent price approval and reporting processes.

  5. Data Management: Precisely maintain the ERP system's procurement price books to ensure all price data remains accurate, authentic, and synchronized.

  6. Project Bidding Support: Concurrently support quotation work for new projects by performing comprehensive BOM (Bill of Materials) cost calculations for outsourced components to back up project bidding.

  7. Cost Modeling: Build standardized cost-modeling frameworks across different component categories to establish an institutionalized cost evaluation system.

  8. Dynamic Review: Continuously review and evaluate procurement costs based on purchasing volume increases and market trends, executing regular cost-reduction initiatives.

  9. Annual Cost-Reduction (VAVE): Formulate and coordinate the annual procurement cost-reduction strategy aligned with the company’s strategic goals, executing saving targets and achieving annual KPIs.

  10. Interpersonal Skills: Possess superior cross-departmental coordination, external commercial negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  11. Ethics & Integrity: Adhere strictly to professional ethics including integrity, honesty, and accountability, conducting procurement activities in compliance with regulations to mitigate compliance risks.

Job Requirements

  1. Experience: Proven track record as a Procurement Supervisor with an understanding of component purchasing workflows and cost control logic. Practical experience in component cost breakdowns, price negotiations, and strategic sourcing/saving initiatives is highly preferred.

  2. Data Literacy: Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, especially advanced Excel operations (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas). Able to independently handle data statistics, cost simulations, report analysis, and strategic presentation outputs.

  3. Professional Attributes: Meticulous, logically minded, and highly execution-driven. Possess a keen sense of cost control, market sensitivity, and strategic planning capabilities. Characterized by self-discipline, integrity, and proactive commercial acumen.
