When Ningbo AOKE Office Equipment Co. was founded in 2012, few could have predicted that a young manufacturer would grow into a global leader in ergonomic office solutions within just a decade. Today, AOKE designs and manufactures a full range of products — including standing desks, desk converters, monitor arms, and mobile pedestals — from a 710,000 sq. ft. production base equipped with laser cutters, robotic welders, and automatic CNC bending machines, all supported by an in-house inspection laboratory.

With offices in the Netherlands, Thailand, the United States, and Foshan, China, AOKE now serves customers around the world around the clock. Behind this global footprint is a story of steady, deliberate growth. Here's how it unfolded.

2012–2014: Laying the Foundation

AOKE's journey began the same year it opened its doors. In 2012, the company made its very first appearances on the international stage, exhibiting at the Chicago Interior Design and Office Furniture Exhibition in the USA — a show AOKE has returned to almost every year since — and at the International Office Furniture Exhibition in Cologne, Germany.

Growth followed quickly. 

By 2013, the factory had expanded to 500 square meters and annual output value reached USD 500,000, the same year AOKE began its first cooperation with Europlan. In 2014, partnerships with Bristol and Rockmart marked AOKE's continued push into international markets.

2015–2017: Scaling Production, Building Partnerships

As demand grew, so did AOKE's capabilities. In 2015, the factory expanded again to 1,000 square meters, with annual output value reaching USD 5 million. That same year, AOKE partnered with Autonomous and became the exclusive strategic partner of Timotion, a leading name in the actuator industry.

By 2016, AOKE's factory had grown tenfold to 10,000 square meters, with annual output reaching USD 10 million. The company also exhibited for the first time at the International Furniture Exhibition in Las Vegas and began its first cooperation with Baster.

Momentum carried into 2017, when AOKE's annual output value climbed to USD 20 million. To better serve international customers, AOKE established its Europe branch, AOKE-Europe, and its Southeast Asia branch in Thailand, AOKE-Asia.

2018–2019: Going Global

In 2018, the factory footprint expanded further still, to 45,000 square meters, and AOKE entered its first cooperation with Staples — a milestone that reflected the company's growing reputation with major international retailers.

2019 proved to be a landmark year: AOKE partnered with ESI, officially established its U.S. subsidiary, and became the first company in China's lift-table industry to earn GEGA certification. AOKE also attended the National Ergonomics Conference & ErgoExpo for the first time, deepening its engagement with the global ergonomics community.

2020: Accelerating Through Challenge

Despite a difficult year for the world at large, 2020 was one of AOKE's most productive. The company established a new production line for movable cabinets covering roughly 2,000㎡ and introduced 60 new production machines, pushing monthly output of lift tables to 70,000 sets. AOKE also built its own 27,000 sq. ft. warehouse system in the U.S. and opened a product showroom there. Global annual sales surpassed RMB 600 million for the first time.

2021 and Beyond: Innovating for the Future

In 2021, AOKE established its own electrical R&D team to develop more comprehensive, intelligent ergonomic office solutions, deepening its cooperation with Timotion to explore applications in the medical field. AOKE also began building its own overseas technical team and laboratory to bring faster, higher-quality service to customers abroad, with new showrooms and warehouses planned for Chicago and Dallas, USA.
